For the following purposes: to organize 10-day workshops, seminars, round tables, working groups and master classes with a topic “Theatre Design Development in Southern Caucasus and Central Asia” from 1- 10 October 2009 at the Yerevan State Puppet Theatre with participation of theatre troupes and experts from Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. The main goal of the project is: to organize a master class for theatre designers, light designers, dress designers, directors coming from Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and for other High Fest participants from 30 foreign countries; to strengthen cultural links and stimulate cross border cooperation in diverse spheres of culture among Caucasian, Central Asian and European countries; to assist them to create valuable and professional contacts for future cooperation; to stimulate the participants’ close cooperation with other international theatre workers in the field of Theatre Design; to organize an exhibition with the works done during the seminars and workshops in order to promote new theatre design with partner countries; to organize international joint projects (performances, conferences, seminars, master classes, etc.; through seminars, master classes, and workshops to increase the awareness of arts practitioners on innovative approaches and strategies in the sphere of Theatre Design; to increase professional diversity in the sphere of theatre design through providing a favorable atmosphere for sharing and exchanging ideas, competencies and knowledge and to create comprehensive database and provide up-to-date information on cultural events and organizations in the sphere of Theatre Design

For the following purposes: to carry out the 5th International Festival for Children and Youth from October 10-19, 2009 in Yerevan and Gyumri and later in 5 regions of Armenia. Participation at the Festival is a good opportunity for Armenian children and youth to watch and become aware of the good quality films produced for their age. It is expected to have more than 130 thousand people of different age groups attending the festival. At the end of the festival, the jury, comprised of children and adults, will nominate the best films. This International Festival promotes cooperation between creative film organizations worldwide and gives an opportunity for the exchange of professional experience and for further international projects. During the festival, 6 master classes, meetings and discussions in Yerevan and 2 in Gyumri with guest film directors will be carried out. For the following purposes: to develop a cultural space for research, dialogue and creative-production initiatives in various fields of artistic expressions. The funding is given for one year and is directed to institutional development of the organization during which the organization will develop its research, artistic, image, sound and graphic labs. During project implementation, 6 workshops and lectures with 4 weeks duration each will be conducted by the experts coming from various countries, two photo, video, editing and sound trainings will be carried out for young artists, three exhibitions presenting the results of the workshops and trainings will be carried out. Throughout the entire project, booklets and posters will be published to present the current activities of the project. At the end of the project a catalogue and a DVD will be prepared presenting all the artistic products of the project

For the following purposes: to discuss the problems of Women-Creativity-Gender Equality through films, problems of violence, inequality, discrimination and other problems related to women’s rights and gender problems. The 4th KIN International Film Festival will be held on December 1-5, 2009 in Yerevan. The program will consist of: 1) Competition “Feature film”, 2) Competition “Documentary film”, 3) Competition “Animation/Experimental Film”, 4) Best film on Gender Issue, 5) Guests’ program, 6) Retrospective screening of films of Polish women film directors. The project will be implemented in two main phases; phase one will consist of a Research component; the International group will carry out a research within three regions –Kars, Gyumri and Kutaisi. The fields of research are vernacular households, oral histories (fairy tales, rural and urban stories, legends), cultural islands (culture of minorities). The research group will include theatre/performance artist, musicians, sculptors. Some type of artistic/cultural dialogue will be established: screenings, lectures, performances (see below). The research will last no less than 6 days each country; Armenia, Turkey and Georgia. As a result, it is anticipated to have information about cultural pattern of the places, information on and generation of the art/culture events to be organized on the next stage and a web site about the project. Phase two- Development of the Network . The program processes: research, hands-on projects will bring together people who are interested on the same topics related to culture in Turkey, Armenia, Georgia.
